Cryofrog Data Policy

Cryofrog collects gameplay and device data when users use our apps. We collect this information to improve our apps based on your data. This information is subject to change.

Information We Obtain

Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, platform, screen size, and CPU/graphics characteristics. This is used to allow us to trouble-shoot any problems you may have during operation of the game.

Usage data: information about how you use the app. For example, day of first session, day of last session, session length. This helps us customize your experience and determine how much attention you are giving your amoebas. The more attention you give the healthier and happier they become.

Location data: your country, city, and rough geographic location. Some of this data is shared with advertisers, should you opt-in to sharing it.

In-app purchase data: if you perform financial transactions (such as when you make a purchase in a game), we collect information about the purchase. This includes purchase amounts and number of purchases.

Advertising Id: your advertising Id is used to customize ads to increase their relevance to you, and is managed by the advertising networks that we use (including Google AdMob, AdColony, Chartboost, and Unity Ads).

Identifiers and network: device ID, IP address. These are used for troubleshooting problems you may have during operation of the game.

Game activity data: in-game states and events that you perform. For example, amoeba names and states, mini game start, coin collection, etc.

All of this data allows us to tune our apps and create a personalized gaming experience.

Cryofrog is committed to the responsible collection and use of player data – and enhancing privacy safeguards. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data to any third party unless required for app functionality or by law (see below for details).

Deleting Your Data

If you are no longer using Pet Amoeba and would like all your data associated with the game deleted, including any data received through the Facebook API, please contact us at email hidden; JavaScript is required.

Third-Party Services We Use

Cryofrog uses third-party services to improve our apps. These include:

Firebase Analytics: Google’s Firebase Analytics uses your data to provide analytics and attribution information. The precise information collected can vary by the device and environment. The data we collect includes your Mobile ad IDs, IDFVs/Android IDs, Instance IDs, and Analytics App Instance IDs. We use this data to follow usage patterns and to determine if the app is working as expected. This provides us with valuable information when determining how to improve the app. Google Analytics retains ID-associated data for 60 days, and retains aggregate reporting and campaign data without automatic expiration.
Firebase Cloud Messaging: Firebase Cloud Messaging uses Instance IDs to determine which devices to deliver messages to. This allows us to send you messages such as notifying you that you have won an animated GIF competition, if you have won other coins, or are eligible for certain free offers.
Google AdMob: Google AdMob provides ads to our users, either from Google’s own ad network or from other ad networks that have been enabled by Cryofrog (see “Advertising Id” above). This ad service uses cookies, including your advertising Id, to optimize ad delivery. Our privacy settings allows our users in Europe to use personalized ads (with access to your advertising Id), non-personalized ads (without access to your personal information), or ads with no tracking (ads that are stored on the user’s device). Because AdMob must be used to view rewarded video ads (which allows users to win coins), rewarded ads (but not interstitial or banner ads) are disabled when the “Essential Only” privacy setting is used (see below).
Facebook: Our app uses Facebook to allow users to log on and save their data to the cloud, and to allow users to view their friends’ amoebas. Depending on the privacy settings our users select, we will store the user’s public profile, as well as their public profile’s email address. We also use Facebook to find your friends who have also used our app. The friends list is not stored in our database and is never shared with a third party. In addition, Facebook collects its own data about user activity within our app. In order to disable Facebook, the user must not log on through Facebook.

Privacy Settings

We allow users in Europe to customize their privacy settings to limit the amount and type of information we obtain.

Personalized

Using the “Personalized” setting allows us to best give you a personalized in-app experience. All third-party services listed above are enabled with this setting.

Non-Personalized

Using the “Non-Personalized” setting will enable all third-party services listed above, but we will not store your personal information, such as your Facebook public profile. If, however, you have opted in to receiving emails, we will store your profile’s email address. With this setting, users will also be shown non-personalized ads to prevent access or storage of personalized information from the ad networks we use to serve you ads.

Essential Only

Using the “Essential Only” setting will disable Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Google AdMob. Your ads will be replaced with our own ads that do not access or store your private information. This setting will also disable rewarded video ads. However, if you log on through Facebook your Facebook friends list will continue to be made available to us to ensure proper functioning. Users can disable Facebook by not logging in.
